Blue Jays are my favorite bird simply because they raise such a ruckus. Love sound of their calls and the way they answer each other. This is a Northern Blue Jay. I got to know the blue jay types in Houston after the west nile virus killed off most of the local coastal blue Jays, the northern blue jays were the first to reappear. It was odd not hearing blue jays. I missed them and now notice them even more than ever before.
