English plantain or better known as a weed. From the meadow at Longwood last Sunday. I’ve a whole collection of “weeds” from that day and I’m trying to ID them. Like here is Red Clover and my photo of Red Clover. These are very common plants so running the IDs down is not too bad. The plantain is a lot of fun to photograph in a light breeze!
LOL….the image and the title came up. I saw the plant and I thought “I call that a weed!”. Then you said the exact same thing.
As you know, I’ve enjoyed photographing PA weeds for years. Look out….it’s addicting. They really can be beautiful.
Yeah. I’m trying to figure out host plants in the meadow at Longwood. It’s teeming with little bugs and probably butterflies later on this summer. Viva la Weed!
lol weed!!…wild flower, and you’ve caught it at a good angle, it really shows off it’s little skirt of petals.
